Fall Adventures

What an exciting and exhausting day. Teri, Dakota, and Dylan had come to Tucson for Nonnie's birthday weekend. We had quite the adventure. First we went to Papa's work. Graham and Dakota enjoyed watching Papa in the big tractor. Dakota even got to ride in the tractor with Papa.

Dylan didn't enjoy it nearly as much. Then we were off to lunch at Maynard Market. We enjoyed watching the trains come by while we ate our lunch. After that we were off to Wilcox and more specifically Apple Annie's.
We loved seeing all the pumpkins.

It was hard work checking out the rows and rows of pumpkins. We picked out some really nice ones.

We also checked out the hay, farm equipment, and sunflowers.

We had so much fun.

We also got to meet (great) Aunt Suzie and Uncle Gene for dinner.
At the end of the day we had 4 perfect pumpkins, one imperfect pumpkins, 3 pooped little boys, 2 exhausted mommies, and 1 pair of worn out grandparents. What a great day.

First Tooth

Graham got his first tooth just 4 days shy of being 8 months old. Let me tell you this boy worked hard for this tooth. He chewed on me, the coffee table, my cell phone, and just about anything else he could get his mouth on.

He looks pretty cute with his one little tooth.
One down many many more teeth to come. I am so getting a new coffee table when this is all done.

Its a wrap.

We (Nonnie, Meg, and I) took a class to learn how to make a package look amazing. The class itself was a lot of fun. They had food and champagne. It was really pretty simple all you need is a hot glue gun, beautiful ribbon, and some pretty paper. The class went well as usual Nonnie was her supper speedy self and was finished way before the lady even finished telling us what to do. I do have to warn you it is dangerous all 3 of us burned and blistered our fingers, I poked myself twice and made myself bleed. I think they turned out pretty good. Should make holiday wrapping pretty fun.

The Yard Man

About a month and a half ago we decided to do some work around the house . Finish up some projects and start a few new ones. One of those new projects was our front yard. I don't have any before pictures but basically it was a slopie mess with a couple of ugly rocks, sad looking plants, and a lovely purple gravel. That lovely part was sarcastic incase you missed that. I thought it would be an easy project a little small retaining wall and a couple new plants and it probably would have been if I hadn't gotten my Dad involved. So 1 1/2 months later,3 truckloads of handpicked rocks, 5 truckloads of gravel, 2 rolls of mesh, 7 new plants, a new irrigations system, and 50 plus hours of hard work by my father this is how it turned out.

Not bad huh? My neighbors love it. It has been the talk of the neighborhood. I even had someone ask me for the name of my yard guy. I said,"I call him Dad."

Stinky Pete Ritchie and the Dirty Bottom Boys

If you see this group of hoodlums I suggest you stay out of their way. They drool, burp, and toot. They are considered very dangerous. They live hard, play hard, and will sometimes nap. They have mostly been spotted in the state of Arizona but have also been seen in New Mexico on their way to Colorado. Where they are known to hang out.

The one on the left is Dakota. His indian name is BRAVEST LITTLE CHICKEN. He is well known for his bartering skills. He will have his toys and everyone else's before the deal is done. It is rumored this little man can fly.

The one in the center is Stinky Pete. He also goes by the name Baby G (his rapper alias). This one looks sweet and innocent but man can he really live up to his name. He is a snuggler.

The one on the right is Dylan my middle name is Danger Dodd. This one is rumored to love trains and will steal them whenever possible. Some of his key phrases are,"Papa we are on bacation (vacation)!" He has also been heard saying," Uncle Ty push that button. That button Uncle Ty! DO IT NOW!!!!!"

If you see these boys run and whatever you do DON'T TOUCH THEIR BLUE BLANKIES!!!

Seven Months... really?

Graham is now a little over 7 months and let me tell you things are a changing in our world. He is officially crawling. He isn't really a distance crawler but he is a speed demon especially when he sees something he wants to hold, play with, put in his mouth, or all of the above. He is working hard to pull himself up on anything and everything. He says Dada (always sounds happy and smiling), Non (for Nonnie) and MahhhMahhh (always with a bit of a whine and the sound of desperation in his voice). I was really looking forward to him saying my name and now I am looking forward to him saying it with out whining. This morning he waved goodbye to me when I left him at Nonnie's house. My baby is getting so big.
